Each key on the various jog boxes can be associated with one or two functions depending the presence of a SHIFT button in the pad.
The function associated with the key depends on the status of the key SHIFT.
In some job box, the key SHIFT includes a signalling LED whose status ON/OFF specifies the active mode.

Key on Jogbox | Combination | Function on ARCO | Description |
---|---|---|---|
F1 | F1 | ESC | Allows the user to answer NO to the messages displayed on the PC screen. |
F2 | F2 | SUSPEND/HOLD | It suspends the execution of the current part-program putting the system in a status waiting for next command. Followed by OK the execution will resume, followed is STOP/ABORT the execution will stop. |
F3 | F3 | START | Start the execution of a part-program |
F4 | F4 | SWITCH TO MANUAL / OVERRIDE CNC | Allows to go in manual move mode while the program is set to CNC. |
F5 | F5 | SWAP ARM | On measuring systems with two arms allows to swap the control between them. The current controlled arm is signalled by the corresponding lit up LED. This key doesn't have any effect on single arm measuring systems. (Now Obsolete) |
F6 | F6 | MANUAL SPEED | In manual measuring mode it allows the joystick to move the machine with a speed as it was in manual mode. |
F7 | F7 | GOTO | Writes a GOTO instruction in the part-program, taking the current machine position. |
F8 | F8 | SWAP-axes TO ROTARY. By default the 3 joystick levers move the machine axes (X, Y and Z). The function associated to the F8 key enable to swap the joystick associated moving function of these axes. The use of the key F8 - SWAP-axes doesn't have any effect on measuring systems without the fourth axes or a motorized probe. Two cases are possible:Machine with rotary table + the joystick levers move the fourth axes when it is a rotary table. The table rotation has effect by rotating the Z joystick lever: rotating it clockwise the table will rotate in clockwise direction and vice-versa.Machine with rotary head + The joystick move the two rotary axes of the motorized probe-head. The rotation of the ROLL axes is possible by rotating the Z axes of the joystick: rotating it clockwise the probe-head will rotate in clockwise direction and vice-versa. The rotation of the PITCH is possible by moving the X axes lever of the joystick. | |
F9 | F3 + SHIFT | TOGGLE COLLISION | |
F10 | F4 + SHIFT | CLUTCH | |
F11 | F5 + SHIFT | RUN | |
F12 | F6 + SHIFT | ABORT | |
F13 | F6 + SHIFT | ABORT | |
F14 | F6 + SHIFT | ABORT |
Key SHIFT + F1 - ABORT + It abort the execution of a part-program (Arco F4) Key SHIFT + F3 - MOTOR ON + Apply the power to the motor drives of the machine. (only if present on the hw configuration of the machine). Key SHIFT + F4 - MOTOR OFF + IThe flashing LED indicates that MOTOR-OFF mode is active or the machine is in de-cluthed mode. (this function is present for Viewer V25 and machines with mechanical clutches) Key SHIFT + F5 - SWAP KEYBOARD + On measuring systems with two teach pendent it allow the user to switch the control of the first Arkey to the second one. The active teach pendent is indicated by the corresponding lit up LED. The key SHIFT + F5 - SWAP axes doesn't have any effect on measuring systems with a single teach pendent. Key SHIFT + F6 - MICRO CNC + The lit LED indicates that MICRO-CNC mode is active. In manual mode it enable a micrometry moving of the machine axes with the joystick. Key SHIFT + F7 - GOTO ARC + + If it's pressed it writes a GOTO-ARC in the part-program. Key F9 - FEATURE AUTO-ACKNOWLEDGEMENT It opens the feature auto-acknowledgement with the automatic acknowledgement of a geometric element, and once achieved the geometry-minimum points number will calculate it. Key F10 - MANUAL POINT + It permits the user to get as measured point the current position. Key SHIFT + F10 - PROBE DISABLE + It disable the probe. Key F11 - DELETE POINT + It cancels the last taken point during a feature acquisition. Please note that, during the execution of a part-program in manual mode or during the acquisition of features in decrement mode, it's not possible to delete last picked point among those foreseen for that specific feature, because the measuring system, once latest point has been picked, immediately executes the calculation of the feature. Key F11 - DELETE ALL POINTS + By pressing key F11 it is possible to delete all points (by re-starting the measure session) Key F12 - X LOCK + Inhibit the X axes movement of the machine. On enabled systems (e.g.: tracing machines with Viewer V25 application) the machine axes is physically locked, by means of an appropriate brake. The lit LED indicates that machine X axes is locked. Key F12 - X RESET + On enabled systems set X = 0 the value of the X coordinate of the machine in the current position (e.g.: tracing machines with Viewer V25 application) Key F13 - Y LOCK+ Inhibit the Y axes movement of the machine. On enabled systems (e.g.: tracing machines with Viewer V25 application) the machine axes is physically locked, by mean of an appropriate brake. The lit LED indicates that machine Y axes is locked. Key F13 - Y RESET + On enabled systems set X = 0 the value of the X coordinate of the machine in the current position. (e.g.: tracing machines with Viewer V25 application) Key F14 - Z LOCK + Inhibit the Z axes movement of the machine. On enabled systems (e.g.: tracing machines with Viewer V25 application) the machine axes is physically locked, by mean of an appropriate brake. The lit LED indicates that machine Z axes is locked. Key F14 - Z RESET + On enabled systems set X = 0 the value of the X coordinate of the machine in the current position. (e.g.: tracing machines with Viewer V25 application) Key OK - START ENTER It allows to confirm the messages that appear on the PC screen.
